2025 Big Ten Bubble Update: Feb. 21

The focus shifts now to the 2025 Big Ten bubble. Which of the conference’s 18 teams are looking good for the tournament?

Only the SEC has been in a more dominant position than the Big Ten this season, and even though this conference could get double-digit bids to the tournament, the SEC’s dominance is almost untouchable. That doesn’t mean the Big Ten’s top teams won’t try to dislodge them, however.

We broke down the chances of all 18 teams with regards to getting into the 2025 NCAA Tournament in our latest video. There are six categories of teams in this conference, ranging from those certain of making the Big Dance to those certain to see their season end on Selection Sunday.

What About Nebraska and Ohio State?

Within less than 48 hours of us publishing this latest video, both of the above teams suffered unfortunate losses in their quest to remain on the bubble. At least Nebraska’s loss was on the road. Ohio State, on the other hand, got embarrassed on their home court.

How Many Bids Will the Big Ten Get This Year?

As of February 21, we are projecting 10 bids. The Big Ten’s most likely range of outcomes is between 8 and 12.
